This is a shot taken of 96th St. in New York City. It had been raining that day and there was still some fog in the air. The camera was set to focus at infinity with no flash and with the exposure increased to +2.0. After importing into Photoshop I took the brightness level down a little to increase the sense of real black in the dark areas and increased the contrast a little bit. I then saved the photo in high-quality (Photoshop level 6) jpeg format.
Notice the vividness of the colours. Under low light conditions human eyes lose colour vision first so this may be a circumstance where the camera "sees" better than your eyes actually would.
